If Padua is not the most suitable option for your stay, you may also consider accommodation in Montegrotto Terme, a town renowned for its thermal baths, located just 30 minutes away by train from Padua. From Padua train station, it is approximately a 13-minute walk to the Padova Congress.

How to reach Padua

By plane

The closest airport to Padua is Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), approximately 50 km away.

From Venice Marco Polo Airport → Padua (Direct Bus)
The most direct option is the Busitalia coach, which departs from the airport and stops directly in front of Padova Congress Centre.

How to board

  1. Exit the terminal and walk past the taxi area to the bus platforms (marked A–I)
  2. Head to Platform I (next to Platform H)
  3. Purchase your ticket at the Busitalia machine on the platform.

  • Validate your ticket with the driver when boarding

Alternatively, stay on board until the final stop at Padova Centrale (train station), from where the venue is 10–15 minutes by taxi, tram, or bus.

Verona, Milan, or Rome: Connected to Padua by high-speed Frecciarossa or Italo trains (most routes to Venice stop in Padua).

By train

The nearest airport to Padua is Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). Upon arrival, exit the terminal building and walk past the taxi area to the bus platforms (marked A–I). Head to Platform “I” (next to Platform “H”) – this is where the direct bus to Padua departs.

High-speed connections within Italy

Padua sits on Italy’s main north–south and east–west rail corridors, with frequent high-speed connections from:

  • Venice (approx. 15–30 minutes)
  • Bologna (approx. 1 hour)
  • Milan (approx. 2 hours)
  • Florence (approx. 1h 45m)
  • Rome (approx. 3–3.5 hours)
